New People and New Fun!

Hello again everyone!

This update will be short.

The youth group would like to extend a wonderful WELCOME! to the newcomers this past week. Welcome to Noah, Isaac, and Harli! We hope to see you guys again soon :)

There are no permanent dates for upcoming events as of now. But be sure to check all websites for updates soon :)

The first Sunday night youth group went so great :) I was so glad to see everyone that showed up. I hope the groups get bigger and bigger as this goes. I think it is so important to have this time to just hang out, have fun, and enjoy each other's company as a youth group. Be sure to bring your homework too! There is plenty of time to do it and plenty of help around if you need it.

I went shopping for groceries today. Please be respectful and try not to eat everything at once haha.

A congratulations to the youth praise band for their performance last week! Everyone was very impressed, and I personally thank you for singing the song I asked you to sing haha. Can't wait to see what you guys work on next. Erynn has done such a great job! Also a congratulations to Erynn for her performance today during church. It was beautiful as always :)

Wednesday night at 6:30 and Sunday nights at 6:30! Be there :)

P.S.
Congratulations to the Alexandria Tiger Football team for the winning streak so far...and to the Alexandria Tennis team for their county win! Keep up the good work everyone. So proud of everyone :)

Fun fact:
In Akron, OH...it is illegal to display colored chickens for sale.

Testing, testing

Hey everyone!

I tried making another blog called "Yo, yo, yo...here is your info!" Haha but it didn't work for some reason. So let's give this a shot.

I am trying to give everyone a chance to stay up to date on different things happening at youth group at FBC in Alexandria. Today we talked about different forms of communication, and we decided to give a blog a shot. Now, to say that I have been a faithful blogger in the past while trying to keep people up to date on my personal life, that would be a lie. But I promise to do what I can to keep this blog up to date. I hope to also add different "authors" to this blog, so that everyone can post different things. **PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT EMAIL IS** so I can add you on here. If you don't have one, make one. It is really simple and you don't really have to use it for anything besides signing on here. It will be similar to the Facebook page, but maybe more...interesting. And not on Facebook and so easily overlooked.

So here we are...this is the blog. And it is cool. Everyone should be jealous of how awesome this is going to be. Just saying. I'm excited, and I hope that it is a good way to keep everyone informed.

Special dates to remember:
- August 19: Youth praise band singing during Sunday morning worship service
- August 19: Youth praise band pizza appreciation party hosted by Erynn and Amy @ 7:00 p.m. (Please only praise band members at this event).
- August 26: Sunday night youth group/hang out/let's be together and love God nights will start! (Better name for this still needs to be decided haha). Be at the church at 6:30 p.m. Bring homework and hang out! Snacks as always will be provided.
- August 29: Youth leader search committee will be meeting with the youth group. Please try to make it to this informational meeting so you know what is going on and what to expect
EVERY WEDNESDAY - Youth group at 6:30 p.m. Bring yourself and a friend (or 2 or 3 or 4) out to youth for snacks, fellowship, and a time to learn about God and other issues. Youth praise band to follow until 8:00.

* Please be sure to let me know what sports, shows, or events you will be participating in this school year. It is very important to me to support all of you as much as I can!

DO NOT JUST IGNORE MY POSTS! Jeeze! Haha :) This is just my first post so give me some time, I hope to have more fun things next time like quotes and pictures or whatever.

Fun fact: It is against the law to whale hunt in Oklahoma.

Have a good night!
